Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent experience, and you bring 1-10 years of mechanical design experience, including internships. You have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and are eager to apply your skills in a cutting-edge environment. Your experience includes design ownership from concept through production, and you are familiar with verification and validation testing processes. You are adept at root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions, ensuring that designs meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy. You have a keen interest in optimizing surgical processes and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to innovative medical devices that can change lives.

Desirable

A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, along with familiarity or experience with Class III Medical Devices. You are someone who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals. Your technical writing skills are strong, enabling you to effectively communicate complex ideas for regulatory approval.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing hardware and processes specifically for human neurosurgery. You will take ownership of design projects from the initial concept phase through to production, ensuring that all designs are optimized for surgical use. Your responsibilities will include conducting verification and validation testing to ensure that all products meet regulatory standards. You will engage in root cause analysis to identify issues in designs and implement corrective actions as necessary. Additionally, you will work on surgical process optimization, contributing to the development of efficient and effective surgical procedures. Your role will also involve technical writing to support regulatory approval processes, ensuring that all documentation is thorough and compliant.
