Who you are
You have a strong background in neuroengineering or a related field, with experience in developing computational models and encoding strategies for electrical stimulation. Your adaptability allows you to tackle a wide range of problems, and you possess a keen sense of urgency in your work. You are skilled in interpreting neural signals and behavioral data, and you have a solid understanding of machine vision algorithms and eye tracking technology. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with scientists and engineers to define engineering requirements for innovative products. Your technical and creative skills enable you to contribute effectively across various projects, from experimental design to implementation.
Desirable
Experience with prosthetic vision systems or brain-computer interfaces is a plus. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and tools for machine learning and computer vision will enhance your contributions to the team. A passion for advancing technology to help individuals with neurological disorders will align with our mission at Neuralink.
What you'll do
As a Neuroengineer on the Next Gen team, you will develop computational models and design encoding strategies for electrical stimulation. You will execute and interpret neural recording and stimulation experiments, communicating results effectively to your team. Your role will involve implementing end-to-end hardware and software solutions for prosthetic vision, including developing machine vision algorithms and integrating smart glasses and eye tracking technology. You will run and support research sessions in coordination with software engineers and field engineers, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are aligned and progressing smoothly. Your contributions will directly impact the development of intuitive, high-dimensional interfaces between brains and machines, helping to restore movement and sight to those in need.
