You have a strong background in optical engineering, with experience in developing custom optics and imaging systems. You possess a deep understanding of optical coherence tomography and machine vision technologies, and you are familiar with the challenges of integrating these systems into robotic platforms. You are detail-oriented and have experience overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design through production and testing. You are comfortable working with manufacturing processes and have a track record of developing hardware that meets stringent performance standards.
Desirable
Experience with laser machining and custom consumables manufacturing is a plus. Familiarity with surgical robotics and the medical device industry will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
As an Optical Engineer at Neuralink, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing optical systems used in our surgical robots. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative optical solutions that improve surgical outcomes. Your work will directly impact the functionality and effectiveness of our devices, enabling groundbreaking advancements in medical technology.
You will engage in hands-on testing and validation of optical systems, ensuring they meet the rigorous demands of surgical applications.
