You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in content ecosystems and user engagement strategies. You understand the nuances of partnerships and APIs, and you are adept at navigating editorial considerations while keeping user needs at the forefront. You are a product thinker who thrives at the intersection of content, product, and community, and you are energized by the opportunity to deepen neighborhood connections through third-party content. You possess excellent collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with engineering, data science, design, and business development teams. You are data-driven and can leverage insights to inform product strategy and execution. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining focus on delivering value to users.
What you'll do
As a Product Manager on the Consumer team at Nextdoor, you will define and execute the product strategy for third-party content experiences, including news, alerts, and contributions from local journalists. You will be responsible for shaping how external content is surfaced and integrated into the Nextdoor platform, ensuring that it feels native and relevant to the communities served. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable systems for content ingestion, curation, and distribution that drive engagement and trust among users. You will conduct user research to understand the needs and preferences of neighbors, using this information to inform product decisions and improve user experiences. You will also be involved in defining success metrics for your initiatives and analyzing performance data to iterate on product features. Your role will require you to stay informed about industry trends and best practices in content management and user engagement, allowing you to bring innovative ideas to the table.
