Nextiva is hiring a Senior Voice & Video Platform DSP Engineer to develop real-time voice and video services for their Unified Communications platform. Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing real-time communication services. Your background includes working with voice and video technologies, and you understand the intricacies of media servers and audio processing. You thrive in a DevOps culture, taking ownership of your code from development through production, ensuring high performance and reliability.
You possess strong skills in cloud deployment and are familiar with AI-powered features that enhance user experiences. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams allows you to drive innovation and improve customer interactions through technology. You are customer-obsessed and believe in creating meaningful connections through your work.
Desirable
Experience with open-source components and carrier-grade quality systems is a plus. Familiarity with scalable architectures and security practices will help you excel in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing core communication services that power Nextiva's voice and video platform. You will enhance call quality and reliability while enabling AI-powered voice features on the unified customer experience platform. Your work will involve everything from media server management to audio processing, ensuring that the system is scalable, secure, and high-performing.
You will collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for over 1 million users worldwide, making your role critical to the company's success.
