You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically focused on real-time communication systems. Your expertise in voice and video technologies has equipped you with the skills to enhance call quality and reliability, ensuring a seamless user experience. You are familiar with cloud deployment and have a strong understanding of scalable and secure systems. Your background in DevOps practices means you are comfortable owning your code from development through production, and you thrive in collaborative environments where innovation is encouraged.
You possess a deep understanding of media servers and audio processing, which allows you to contribute effectively to the development of core communication services. Your experience with open-source components and in-house innovations has prepared you to deliver carrier-grade quality and maintain high uptime standards. You are driven by a passion for customer experience and understand the importance of meaningful connections in driving business outcomes.
Desirable

What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend services that power Nextiva's voice and video platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform meets the needs of over 100,000 businesses and 1 million users worldwide. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of the services provided, enhancing the overall customer experience.
You will collaborate with engineers to drive the development of real-time voice and video services, focusing on enhancing call quality and reliability. Your work will involve everything from media servers to cloud deployment, ensuring that the system is scalable, secure, and high-performing. You will also play a key role in implementing DevOps practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
