Who you are
You have extensive experience in compliance management, particularly within the financial services or payments industry — you understand the intricacies of card schemes and have a proven track record of maintaining compliance standards across multiple markets. Your attention to detail is exceptional, and you thrive in environments where you can translate complex scheme rules into actionable internal processes.
You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively interface with various stakeholders, including card networks and internal teams. You are adept at managing deadlines and ensuring that operations run smoothly without compliance breaches. Your ability to work cross-functionally means you can collaborate effectively with teams in compliance, operations, product, and technology.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be the key interface between Nium and major card networks such as Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. You will ensure that Nium's global issuing capabilities are maintained and that compliance standards are not only met but exceeded. You will oversee the timely certifications required for operations and work closely with various teams to implement necessary changes based on scheme updates.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal processes that align with card scheme requirements, ensuring that all operations are compliant and efficient. Your role will involve regular communication with card networks to address any compliance issues and to stay updated on changes in regulations.
You will also play a critical role in training and guiding internal teams on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization. Your insights will help shape the strategic direction of Nium's card issuance business, ensuring that it remains competitive and compliant in a rapidly evolving market.
