Overview
Northslope Technologies Inc. is hiring a TechOps professional to manage their technical infrastructure and systems. You'll work with Linux, AWS, and Docker to ensure security and efficiency. This position requires 3+ years of technical operations experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of technical operations experience, ideally in a high-growth startup environment — you've owned significant parts of IT infrastructure and have learned from the challenges that come with it. You are deeply entrepreneurial and take complete ownership of problems from start to finish, operating with minimal oversight. Your experience has equipped you with the ability to balance security requirements with usability, making technical decisions autonomously while constantly iterating to improve systems. You thrive in environments where you can evaluate and deploy new tools that enhance team effectiveness, and you enjoy troubleshooting technical issues as they arise. Your strong communication skills enable you to onboard new hires effectively and coordinate with compliance vendors on security requirements.
Desirable
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages is a plus, as is familiarity with compliance frameworks. You understand the importance of user experience in technical operations and are committed to creating systems that support team productivity.
What you'll do
As Northslope's first TechOps team member, you'll own the entire technical infrastructure and systems landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing systems access and security tooling, evaluating new tools, and ensuring compliance with security policies. You'll onboard new hires to all technical systems and coordinate with vendors to meet security requirements. You will juggle multiple concurrent projects while maintaining a high bar for security and user experience, ensuring that the systems you build and maintain are tailored to how the team works. Your role will require you to build automation to eliminate repetitive work, allowing the team to focus on delivering for customers. You will be instrumental in shaping the overall tooling and infrastructure strategy, making decisions that will impact the company's operational efficiency.
What we offer
At Northslope Technologies, we are committed to creating a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our work. We offer a collaborative environment where your contributions will directly impact the team's success. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of individuals who are passionate about technology and innovation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
