Your hands-on experience in the research, development, and implementation of machine learning methods, such as NeRF or Gaussian splatting, equips you to generate synthetic sensor data effectively. You are skilled in analyzing and characterizing the realism and utility of synthetic sensor data, ensuring that it meets the high standards required for autonomy performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with stakeholders across autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams to address map needs and requirements. What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Nuro, you will be at the forefront of developing state-of-the-art synthetic sensor simulation methods. Your primary responsibility will be to research, develop, and implement algorithms that generate photorealistic images and realistic lidar and radar data. You will analyze the realism and utility of the synthetic sensor data, answering critical questions about its impact on autonomy performance. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work with various teams to understand their needs and requirements, ensuring that the sensor data you produce is both useful and applicable.
