Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in avionics and are skilled in the fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting of complex avionics systems. Your experience allows you to bridge the gap between development engineering and flight operations effectively. You understand the importance of safety, especially when working with high-voltage systems, and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You are physically capable of standing, bending, and working in tight spaces within an airframe for extended periods, and you can lift up to 50 lbs. Your willingness to travel to flight test ranges, if required, demonstrates your commitment to the role and the mission of Odys Aviation.
What you'll do
As the Avionics Crew Chief, you will play a crucial role in the development and operation of our innovative eVTOL aircraft. You will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication and installation of avionics systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your troubleshooting skills will be essential as you work to resolve any issues that arise during the testing and operational phases. You will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to ensure that all systems are functioning optimally and that any necessary adjustments are made promptly. Your role will also involve training and mentoring junior technicians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the team. You will spend the majority of your time onsite at our flight test range in Buttonwillow, CA, where you will contribute to the successful testing and deployment of our aircraft.
