Okta is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Securities & Governance to lead their governance function. You'll provide strategic advice on corporate governance and compliance matters while collaborating with various teams. This role requires extensive experience in corporate governance and team management.

Who you are
You are a seasoned leader with a strong history of successful team management, particularly in corporate governance and compliance. With over 10 years of experience in legal roles, you have a deep understanding of SEC reporting and compliance matters, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings. You thrive in high-growth environments and are adept at providing practical, business-focused advice to complex challenges. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Public Relations, and HR, sets you apart as a trusted advisor to executives and the Board of Directors.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner. Your experience in leading teams has equipped you with the skills to mentor and develop professionals in the corporate governance space. You are committed to fostering a culture of compliance and ethical governance within the organization, ensuring that best practices are followed across all levels.
Desirable
Experience in a technology company or a high-growth environment is a plus. Familiarity with international corporate governance standards and practices will enhance your candidacy. You are a lifelong learner, eager to stay updated on changes in regulations and governance practices that impact the industry.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of corporate governance at Okta, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and corporate policies. You will lead a team of experienced professionals dedicated to supporting corporate governance, strategic transactions, and stock administration activities. Your responsibilities will include advising on effective governance practices, managing SEC reporting, and ensuring timely and accurate filings. You will work closely with the Deputy General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer to develop strategies that align with Okta's business objectives.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to Oktaβs executives and the Board of Directors, providing guidance on a range of governance issues. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to ensure that governance practices are integrated into the companyβs operations. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing training programs to educate employees on governance and compliance matters.
