Teamshares is hiring a Corporate Counsel – Governance & Securities to lead corporate governance and securities work. You'll partner closely with Finance and executive leadership to design legal infrastructure for a multi-entity operating company. This role requires strong corporate and securities expertise.

Who you are
You are a strategic, business-oriented attorney with a strong background in corporate governance and securities law. You have a proven track record of working closely with finance and executive teams to develop legal frameworks that support business growth and compliance. Your operational pragmatism and sound judgment enable you to navigate complex legal landscapes effectively.
You possess a deep understanding of the legal requirements for transitioning companies to public readiness, and you are adept at building durable systems that ensure compliance and governance rigor. Your experience includes leading legal initiatives that align with business objectives, and you are comfortable taking ownership of high-impact projects.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the legal team in core corporate work, focusing on governance, securities, and strategic transactions. You will collaborate with various departments, including Finance and Accounting, to design and institutionalize the legal infrastructure necessary for scaling a multi-entity operating company. Your responsibilities will include advising on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with securities regulations, and supporting strategic transactions that align with the company's mission.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal strategy as Teamshares transitions to a public company, ensuring that all legal and governance practices are robust and scalable.
