What you'll do

In this role, you will become deeply familiar with Okta's critical SaaS platform, which serves millions of customers daily. You will navigate a significant replatforming initiative, ensuring a seamless transition of critical components between container orchestration systems without downtime or customer impact. Your responsibilities will include driving improvements in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), focusing on how to ideate, onboard, operate, and scale microservices securely and efficiently. You will identify and automate manual processes through clever coding and smart architecture, contributing to a 24x7 online environment as part of a global on-call rotation. Additionally, you will advocate for best practices in system reliability and resilience across all engineering teams, ensuring that Okta's services remain robust and performant.
