You are proficient in container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to manage microservices effectively. Your coding skills in Python help you automate processes and improve system efficiency, while your knowledge of Linux systems administration ensures you can troubleshoot and resolve issues swiftly.

What you'll do

In this role, you will become deeply familiar with Okta's critical SaaS platform, which is utilized by millions of customers daily. You will navigate a significant replatforming initiative, ensuring that dozens of critical components are moved between container orchestration systems with zero downtime or customer impact. You will engage with stakeholders to understand the intricacies of the system and act as a guide and coach for your teammates, driving the next steps for our SDLC.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and automating manual processes through clever code and smart architecture, supporting a 24x7 online environment as part of a global on-call rotation. You will advocate for best practices across all engineering teams, ensuring that systems are scalable, reliable, and resilient. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our engineering practices and ensuring that our systems can handle the demands of our growing customer base.
