Okta is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Test to ensure the quality and reliability of their deployment tools. Job Description

Who you are

You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual eager to start your career in software testing. With a foundational understanding of automated testing, you are ready to dive into the world of infrastructure quality. You have experience or coursework in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and you are familiar with scripting in Bash. Your knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles will help you contribute effectively to the team. You are a lifelong learner who embraces new challenges and is excited to grow your skills in a cloud-infrastructure environment.

Desirable

Experience with deployment tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ArgoCD is a plus, as is any familiarity with continuous deployment (CD) pipelines. You are comfortable working in a collaborative team setting and are eager to learn from experienced engineers. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As an Associate Software Engineer in Test at Okta, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans and strategies for our deployment tools. You will design and build robust automated test frameworks and scripts, ensuring that our tools are reliable and perform well under various conditions. Your role will involve executing functional and non-functional testing to validate the performance and security of our infrastructure.
