Overview

Okta is seeking a Senior UX Researcher to shape the future of AI-driven security products. You'll work closely with engineers, AI researchers, and product managers to ensure user needs are met. This role requires expertise in user research and AI product development.

Job Description

Who you are

You have extensive experience in user research, particularly in the context of AI and emerging technologies — your ability to understand user needs and validate assumptions is critical for developing AI-driven solutions that are trusted and adopted. You possess a strategic mindset, allowing you to assess product-market fit and align user research with business viability. Your technical fluency in AI product development processes sets you apart from traditional user researchers, enabling you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You thrive in environments that require a blend of creativity and analytical thinking — your background in user research equips you to deeply understand user behaviors and motivations, which is essential for shaping AI products that resonate with users. You are a lifelong learner, eager to adapt and grow in a rapidly evolving field, and you value diverse perspectives that contribute to innovative solutions.

Desirable

Experience with AI-driven products or security solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with LLM-based systems. You have a track record of working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure that user insights are integrated into the product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth user research to inform the development of AI-powered security products at Auth0. You will validate assumptions about user needs and behaviors, ensuring that the products we build are not only functional but also trusted and adopted by users. Your insights will guide the design and development of LLM-based systems, ensuring they are secure by design and aligned with business goals.

You will collaborate closely with engineers and AI researchers to translate user insights into actionable product features. This involves conducting user interviews, usability testing, and analyzing user feedback to inform product decisions. You will also work with product managers to define success metrics and ensure that user research is integrated into the product roadmap.

Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AI, allowing you to bring fresh perspectives to the team. You will be a key player in shaping the future of our AI-driven products, ensuring they meet the needs of our users while driving business success.

What we offer

At Okta, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation and creativity, working on products that have a meaningful impact on security and identity management.
