What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively construct and own a research roadmap for a key product area at Okta. You will work closely with design, product, and engineering partners to ensure that your research aligns with the highest priority needs of the product area. Your responsibilities will include scoping, prioritizing, organizing, and managing research initiatives across your group. You will design and utilize various research methodologies to gather insights that inform both long-term and short-term product decisions.

You will cultivate a culture of curiosity and learning across your cross-functional team, ensuring that designers, product managers, and engineers can leverage foundational and evaluative insights in their day-to-day work. Your role will involve conducting user interviews, usability testing, and analyzing user feedback to drive product improvements. You will also collaborate with other researchers to share best practices and insights, contributing to the overall growth of the research practice at Okta.
