Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in embedded systems and firmware development, with hands-on experience in bringing up hardware and ensuring system reliability. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to write efficient and maintainable code that interacts closely with hardware components. You understand the intricacies of camera systems and have a keen eye for debugging real-world integration issues. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with electrical engineers and product teams to deliver robust solutions. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges in camera stack development, ensuring high performance and reliability in production environments. You are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to innovative consumer products that leverage AI.
Desirable
Experience with custom silicon and cloud services is a plus, as is familiarity with camera sensor technologies. A background in developing tools for hardware diagnostics and integration would enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
As a Camera Firmware Engineer, you will take ownership of low-level camera enablement on custom hardware, guiding the process from early board bring-up through to stable production capture. You will develop and maintain the firmware that ensures camera sensors are reliable and controllable, forming the foundation for higher-level camera pipelines and product features. Your role will involve diagnosing real-world timing and integration issues, and you will build tooling that accelerates iteration across the entire camera stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the camera systems are robust, debuggable, and ready for real-world deployment. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of the devices we create, helping to bring AI into the physical world.
