You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and drive adoption of the systems you develop.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can navigate the challenges of integrating new technologies into existing workflows — your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders ensures that everyone is aligned on project goals. You are adaptable and can make trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards.

What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI, you will own the technical delivery of AI model deployments within financial services organizations — this includes everything from initial discovery and technical scoping to system design and production rollout. You will embed closely with customer teams, understanding their unique needs and guiding them through the adoption of the solutions you build. Your role will require you to measure success through production adoption and workflow impact, using feedback to iterate on product and model roadmaps.

You will also contribute directly to the code when necessary, ensuring clarity and progress on projects. Your responsibilities will include scoping work, sequencing delivery, and removing blockers early in the process. You will collaborate with various teams, including Product, Research, and Security, to ensure that deployments are successful and meet the high standards expected by our customers.
