You are an engineer with a generalist mindset, comfortable working across various infrastructure layersβfrom compute and networking to storage and databases. You enjoy thinking through architecture and infrastructure design, balancing trade-offs between simplicity, scalability, and reliability. You are curious and proactive, with a strong desire to understand how systems work end-to-end. You partner well with product engineering teams to design systems that are reliable, scalable, and easy to operate. You care deeply about observability, reliability, and performance, treating them as essential to the user experience. You thrive in a collaborative environment, contributing to high-impact projects and ensuring systems are built to scale.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the foundational systems that power the WorkOS platform. You will handle millions of requests and ensure that the systems are fast, reliable, and always on for customers. You will collaborate closely with teams throughout the company, contributing architectural perspectives and supporting high-impact projects. Your work will involve designing systems that are easy to operate and maintain, ensuring that they meet the needs of a rapidly growing customer base. You will also engage in proactive problem-solving, addressing challenges that arise in the infrastructure landscape and implementing solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.
