Who you are

You have a strong background in infrastructure engineering, with experience in designing and scaling systems that handle high traffic and compute demands. You understand the importance of high availability and cost-effectiveness in infrastructure, and you have a proven track record of working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve these goals.

You are proficient in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Your familiarity with Linux systems allows you to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues effectively.

You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you can take ownership of projects and drive them to completion. Your communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with engineers across product, research, and operations teams.

Desirable

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices is a plus. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools will help you enhance system performance and reliability.

What you'll do

As an Infrastructure Engineer at Mercor, you will be responsible for building and scaling the systems that power our rapid growth. You will design scalable architectures that can handle explosive traffic and compute demands, ensuring our infrastructure remains highly available and cost-effective.

You will collaborate closely with engineers from various teams, including product, research, and operations, to streamline deployments and improve observability across our systems. Your role will involve identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance system performance and reliability.

You will also have the opportunity to work on both infrastructure and research-adjacent projects, allowing you to contribute to innovative solutions that push the boundaries of AI development.
