You have a strong background in security engineering, with experience in designing and implementing security frameworks that protect critical assets. You thrive in ambiguous situations and can quickly ship solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and security. Your expertise in securing complex systems and designing robust isolation strategies for emerging AI technologies is essential. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively across various teams and functions.

You are familiar with the unique risks introduced by agentic AI and have a deep understanding of security policies, frameworks, and controls. Your ability to develop comprehensive threat models will be crucial in this role. You are a versatile engineer who is eager to contribute from day one and drive innovative solutions that set industry standards for agent security.

What you'll do

As a Security Engineer on the Agent Security Team, you will be at the forefront of securing OpenAI’s cutting-edge agentic AI systems. Your role will involve designing and implementing robust security frameworks, policies, and controls to safeguard OpenAI’s critical assets. You will partner closely with the Agent Infrastructure group to fortify the platforms that power OpenAI’s most advanced agentic systems. You will lead efforts to enhance safety monitoring pipelines at scale, ensuring that the deployment of agentic systems is safe and secure.

You will be responsible for developing and refining security policies that defend against the unique risks associated with agentic AI. Your work will involve continuous improvement of security measures and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are scalable and robust. You will communicate effectively with various stakeholders to align security initiatives with organizational goals. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping the future of technology at OpenAI.
