OpenAI is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Equity Administration to oversee and scale their global equity operations. You'll work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure compliance and enhance employee experience. This role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in equity administration, ideally with a focus on global operations — you understand the complexities of managing equity programs and have a proven track record of ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Your strong analytical skills enable you to assess and improve processes, ensuring they are scalable and audit-ready. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and Payroll to align equity administration with business needs. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively convey complex information to various stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with equity management systems and integrations is a plus — you are familiar with the tools and technologies that support equity administration and can leverage them to enhance operational efficiency. A background in finance or accounting can further strengthen your ability to navigate the financial aspects of equity programs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the end-to-end employee equity administration process, managing key lifecycle events such as new grants, vesting, and option exercises. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equity data and reporting are reliable, and that processes are built to scale globally. You will lead efforts to drive process improvements and strengthen the overall equity operations framework. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will ensure that equity administration aligns with the company's evolving business strategy and delivers a strong employee experience. You will also oversee compliance requirements, ensuring that all operations adhere to legal and regulatory standards.
