OpenAI is hiring a Senior Quantitative UX Researcher to design and execute quantitative research that informs product decisions. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers, utilizing skills in surveys and data analysis. This role requires 5+ years of experience in user research.

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience working in user research, particularly in quantitative methodologies. Your background includes designing and executing research studies that inform product decisions, and you excel at translating complex data into actionable insights. You are skilled in survey methodology and statistical analysis, ensuring that your findings are valid and reliable. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify high-impact opportunities for research. Your storytelling ability allows you to communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, driving alignment across teams.

Desirable

Experience with behavioral data analysis and familiarity with usability evaluation methods would be a plus. You might also have a background in AI or technology, which would enhance your understanding of the products you are researching.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and execute quantitative research across the product lifecycle, from foundational understanding to concept validation and usability evaluation. You will lead rigorous studies using methods such as surveys and experiments, answering both strategic and tactical questions. Your work will directly influence product direction through close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will apply strong survey methodology and statistical rigor to ensure that your findings are decision-ready. Additionally, you will translate complex data into clear recommendations that drive alignment and decision-making across teams.
