Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering with experience in building data pipelines and backend systems. You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including legal advisors, to ensure compliance with regulations. You have experience with programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, and you are comfortable working with REST APIs. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for automation and have a knack for building tools that enhance efficiency in handling customer data. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security in your work.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain backend systems that power privacy and data compliance functions within OpenAI's API products and consumer applications. You will collaborate closely with legal advisors and other engineers to respond to court orders and legal processes, ensuring that all actions uphold strict data privacy and legal standards. You will identify opportunities for automation and develop tools that enable other teams to automate tasks involving customer data, streamlining processes and enhancing compliance efforts.
