You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in writing high-quality, performance-critical code in languages such as Rust and Python. Your experience includes working with cryptographic techniques and trusted computing, and you understand the importance of security in technology. You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside researchers, engineers, and security experts to integrate advanced solutions into production systems.

You are committed to building secure systems that protect technology and users alike. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges in cryptography and key management, and you are eager to contribute to a robust security culture. You are adaptable and open to occasional travel to the San Francisco HQ or other offices as needed.

What you'll do

In this role, you will focus on deploying high-performance cryptography at scale, including key management and trusted hardware enclaves. You will collaborate with a diverse team to integrate and scale advanced cryptographic techniques into OpenAI's production and research systems. Your responsibilities will include writing and optimizing code, ensuring compliance with security standards, and contributing to the overall mission of OpenAI to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.
