What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at OpenAI, you will embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their unique business challenges. You will design, architect, and develop full-stack solutions using an experiment-driven, iterative approach. Your role will involve preparing detailed scopes of work and project plans for both proof-of-concept prototypes and full production deployments. You will work hands-on with customers' technical teams, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor throughout the engagement. Collaboration with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers will be key to ensuring successful outcomes for our clients.

You will leverage OpenAI's APIs to create custom software that effectively addresses real customer problems. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly will help bridge the gap between customer needs and technical solutions. You will also provide insightful feedback to our Research and Applied Product and Engineering teams, contributing to the continuous improvement of our offerings.
