You have extensive experience as a Staff Infrastructure Engineer, with a strong background in designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in AWS and Kubernetes allows you to optimize cloud operations effectively, ensuring that systems are secure and scalable. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product engineering, developer experience, and security teams to align infrastructure with product goals.

You are passionate about infrastructure as code and automation, utilizing tools like Terraform to define and implement best practices. Your knowledge of observability and performance monitoring strategies, using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, enables you to drive improvements across the organization. You are a champion of DevOps culture, mentoring other engineers on cloud-native best practices and fostering a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure in AWS. You will lead efforts in Kubernetes architecture, managing clusters and deployment strategies to optimize microservices deployment and CI/CD workflows. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the organization.

You will drive observability and performance monitoring strategies, collaborating with application and platform engineering teams to enhance service orchestration. Additionally, you will develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, conducting architecture reviews and performance tuning as necessary. Staying up to date with industry trends will be crucial as you continue to evolve the infrastructure to meet the needs of the business.
