Who you are
You are a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong background in developing and deploying security tools. You have experience working with cloud environments and on-premises systems, ensuring they are resilient and secure. Your expertise in automation and vulnerability management allows you to proactively address security challenges at scale.
You possess a solid understanding of security best practices and have hands-on experience with AWS and Docker. Your proficiency in Python enables you to create automation scripts and tools that enhance visibility and enforce security controls across infrastructure. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including DevOps and Infrastructure, to implement security measures effectively.
You have a keen eye for detail and are adept at detecting misconfigurations and vulnerabilities. Your analytical mindset helps you assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
Desirable
Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001 is a plus. Familiarity with security tools like Burp Suite or OWASP is also beneficial. You may have certifications such as CISSP or CEH that demonstrate your commitment to the field.
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of internal security tools and automation pipelines. You will work closely with various teams to enhance visibility and enforce security controls across the infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include implementing security measures, detecting misconfigurations, and proactively addressing vulnerabilities.
You will collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to automate security protections and ensure that both cloud and on-prem environments are secure. Your role will involve conducting security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities. You will also participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and remediate security incidents.
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will have the opportunity to influence the security posture of OpenGov and contribute to the overall success of the Information Security program. You will be part of a performance-based culture that encourages innovation and recognizes excellent performance.
