Job Description

Who you are

You are pursuing a PhD and have a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling — your academic background has equipped you with the skills to tackle complex problems in financial markets. You will work closely with a mentor from the Research Team, gaining exposure to various research areas, including the development of statistical models and machine learning applications in trading. You will analyze high-frequency trading strategies and market microstructure, using your skills to predict market movements and identify profitable trading opportunities.

You will participate in educational sessions led by Optiver's in-house team, delving into trading fundamentals and enhancing your understanding of the financial markets. Your contributions will help improve the efficiency and accuracy of pricing engines, as you combine quantitative analysis with high-performance implementation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting, collaborating with a team of mathematicians, scientists, and technologists.
