Overview

Optiver is seeking a Senior Sales professional for their Greater China ETF Sales team. You'll focus on building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients in Greater China. This role requires 8+ years of experience in sales or sales trading.

Who you are

You have over 8 years of experience in sales or sales trading, specifically covering buy-side clients in Greater China. Your proven ability to work collaboratively and improve productivity has led to successful implementations of innovative ideas in your previous roles. You are self-motivated and results-driven, with a commercial mindset that allows you to challenge the status quo effectively. Your critical thinking and detail-oriented approach make you a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit. Excellent technical presentation and communication skills are part of your toolkit, and proficiency in Mandarin is strongly preferred for client interactions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will explore, build, and maintain new and existing counterparty relationships, focusing on institutions in Greater China, including asset managers, insurance companies, QFI participants, and brokers. Your goal will be to expand trading flow and collaboration while challenging the current trading behaviors. You will coordinate with the Institutional Sales team in Hong Kong and traders across various product groups and regions to ensure that Optiver delivers innovative liquidity solutions that yield positive outcomes for both counterparties and the firm. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing market access, automating pricing, and strengthening institutional counterparty offerings. Representing the firm professionally in discussions with exchanges, brokers, and regulators will also be a key part of your responsibilities, as will participating in industry events and conferences as needed.
