You have a strong background in financial analysis and modeling, with experience in healthcare or insurance sectors. Your analytical skills allow you to quantify and communicate the financial impact of various initiatives effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly between business units and actuarial departments, ensuring that strategic investments are accurately sized and tracked. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for problem-solving, which helps you navigate the intricacies of financial oversight in a dynamic environment. You are adaptable and open to evolving work models, including potential hybrid arrangements in the future.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building complex financial models that are actuarially sound, sizing the impact of UM strategies on overall affordability outcomes. You will serve as the primary liaison between the UM business unit and the Medical Economics/Actuarial departments, ensuring that all investments are tracked and reported accurately. Your core goal will be to ensure that strategic investments translate into measurable, defensible affordability outcomes. You will work closely with the Director of UM Authorization Strategy to align financial oversight with broader organizational goals. Your contributions will directly influence the financial health of the UM Strategy team, making your role critical to Oscar's mission of providing affordable health insurance solutions.
