Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on cloud database technologies. Your expertise includes building, maintaining, and optimizing databases in a SaaS production environment, ensuring they meet both business and technical requirements. You are well-versed in high-availability architectures and understand the importance of security and compliance in managing mission-critical data.
You possess deep knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms, including services like RDS, DocumentDB, Cosmos DB, and Flexible Databases. Your experience with ETL processes and data infrastructure needs allows you to collaborate effectively with Software Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and Data teams. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering optimal performance and availability for database systems.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the build, maintenance, upgrades, and scaling of our databases that support global SaaS operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data infrastructure needs, including the new build-out of Data Lakes and Data Warehouses. Your day-to-day tasks will involve provisioning and configuring database systems, ensuring they meet business requirements while optimizing for performance and security.
You will also be tasked with automating database operations to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Your role will require you to monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance system reliability. You will play a key role in ensuring that our databases are secure, compliant, and capable of handling the demands of our growing customer base.
