As the Principal Product Designer at Energage, you are the most senior design practitioner, bringing extensive experience in leading design initiatives. You have a proven track record of tackling complex design challenges and establishing design as a strategic partner within organizations. Your expertise in creating unified user experiences across diverse platforms sets you apart, and you are passionate about elevating design's voice in business.

You possess strong leadership skills, balancing hands-on design work with organizational responsibilities. You are adept at defining design system architecture and interaction models that cater to various user needs. Your ability to identify systemic gaps in design practices and address them at scale demonstrates your commitment to maturing the design practice within your organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead design for Energage's most complex and ambiguous initiatives, including the creation of a new unified experience that consolidates multiple platforms. You will partner with the Director of Design to establish frameworks, standards, and documentation that enhance the design practice. Your strategic leadership will help position design as a key driver of business value, showcasing measurable impact through high-quality work.

You will also drive research strategies that ensure insights inform design decisions, helping to build credibility and voice for design at the leadership table. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that design initiatives align with business goals and user needs. You will mentor junior designers and foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the design team.
