Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create user-centered designs that solve complex problems. Your expertise in Figma allows you to design intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and product managers to bring your designs to life. You have a keen understanding of the construction industry and the challenges it faces, which enables you to create solutions that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and effective.

You are passionate about using design to drive innovation and improve processes. You understand the importance of user research and testing, and you are skilled at gathering feedback to iterate on your designs. Your strong communication skills allow you to articulate your design decisions clearly to stakeholders and team members. You are adaptable and open to feedback, always looking for ways to improve your work and the products you help create.

Desirable

Experience with applied AI or technology in the construction industry is a plus. Familiarity with design systems and the ability to create and maintain them will set you apart. You are also comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work.

What you'll do

As a Senior Product Designer at PermitFlow, you will dive into the world of construction permitting, learning from internal resources and collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand user needs. You will design user interfaces for our AI-driven solutions, ensuring they are intuitive and meet the needs of our users. Your role will involve conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and iterating on designs based on user feedback. You will work closely with engineers to ensure your designs are implemented accurately and effectively.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and evolving our design system, ensuring consistency across all products. Your insights will help shape the product roadmap, and you will play a key role in defining the user experience strategy for our offerings. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior designers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers. Your work will directly impact how construction companies navigate the complexities of permitting and compliance, making a meaningful difference in the industry.
