You have a proven track record in machine learning and computer vision, with experience leading teams and driving technical strategy. Your expertise in foundational model training and AI technologies positions you to make bold strategic bets that will shape the future of AI photo editing. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about scaling teams while maintaining a strong culture of excellence.
You possess strong leadership skills, having successfully managed teams of engineers and researchers. Your ability to mentor and guide your team ensures that they remain engaged and productive, fostering an environment of innovation and creativity. You are comfortable navigating complex technical challenges and are adept at code reviews and ensuring technical excellence across projects.
What you'll do
As the Head of Computer Vision, you will own the long-term machine learning strategy for Photoroom, focusing on training foundational models from scratch. You will lead a team of approximately 10 ML engineers and researchers, scaling the team as the company grows while maintaining a culture of excellence and collaboration. Your role will involve driving technical excellence through rigorous code reviews and fostering an environment where innovative ideas can flourish.
You will work closely with the Chief Technology Officer to align the technical vision with the company's ambitious growth goals. Your responsibilities will include setting strategic priorities, overseeing project timelines, and ensuring that the team meets its objectives. You will also be involved in hands-on technical work, contributing to the development of cutting-edge AI technologies that enhance the user experience for both individual creators and major enterprises.

We support remote work within a 3-hour flight from Paris, allowing for flexibility while still fostering team cohesion through monthly visits. Additionally, we offer relocation support of up to €10k and visa sponsorship for positions based in France.
