You have 5+ years of experience in data science, particularly in forecasting and time-series analysis — you've led projects that required deep analytical skills and a strong understanding of statistical modeling. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring that your forecasts are both accurate and actionable.

You are comfortable with the full modeling lifecycle — from problem framing and feature engineering to model development and deployment. You understand the importance of explainability in your models and can communicate complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

Your experience includes working with machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools — you know how to present data-driven insights in a way that drives decision-making and strategy. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with engineering teams to shape the technical vision for forecasting platforms.

Desirable

Experience with anomaly detection and automated root-cause analysis is a plus — you have a knack for identifying patterns and trends that others might miss. Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies will enhance your ability to scale forecasting models effectively.

What you'll do

As the technical lead for the forecasting team, you will own the strategy and implementation of forecasting models for key company metrics, such as monthly active users. You will lead the full modeling lifecycle, ensuring that your forecasts are accurate, interpretable, and scalable. Your role will involve defining model architectures and standards, collaborating closely with engineering to enhance the forecasting platform.

You will translate forecasts into actionable insights, presenting outputs and scenario analyses to senior leadership with clarity and brevity. This high-visibility role will require you to drive broader time-series impact beyond point forecasts, contributing to initiatives like anomaly detection and automated root-cause analysis.
