You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, particularly in AI/ML systems — you've led teams that build and maintain high-performance infrastructure for machine learning models, ensuring they are efficient and production-ready. Your expertise in C++ and Kubernetes allows you to oversee the development of ultra-high-performance model inference engines and deployment systems.

You possess a deep understanding of machine learning frameworks and technologies — your experience with CUDA and model routing has equipped you to handle complex AI/ML challenges. What you'll do

As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the AI/ML Serving Platform at Pinterest — your focus will be on building and optimizing the infrastructure that supports hundreds of AI/ML engineers. You will oversee the development of a C++ model inference engine that processes millions of inferences per second, ensuring that the systems are robust and scalable.

You will drive the deployment and monitoring of production-grade AI/ML models, including generative AI and large language models, to support emerging use cases. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the performance and reliability of AI systems, ensuring they meet the high standards expected at Pinterest.
