What you'll do
As a Motor Controls Engineer II at Pivotal, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating control algorithms for electric motors used in our innovative eVTOL aircraft. You will engage in modeling and simulation activities to ensure that the control systems perform efficiently and reliably across all flight conditions. Your role will involve embedded implementation, where you will translate algorithms into software that operates seamlessly within the aircraft's systems.
You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to refine control strategies and enhance the overall performance of our aircraft. Your contributions will be critical in advancing our next-generation aircraft, the Helix, which is set for general release and scalable production in early 2026. You will also participate in testing activities, ensuring that the motor control systems meet the rigorous demands of aviation standards.
