Who you are
You have 3-6 years of experience in credit research or trading, ideally as a desk analyst or trader β you've developed a strong understanding of credit markets and investment strategies. Your expertise includes building full three-statement models and reviewing credit agreements to assess corporate balance sheet flexibility.
You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and are committed to the highest ethical standards β your analytical skills allow you to synthesize market information and develop differentiated investment views from consensus. You thrive in a collaborative environment, engaging with external relationships to enhance your insights on issuers.
What you'll do
As a Credit Research Analyst at Point72, you will conduct rigorous fundamental bottom-up credit research to identify attractive long/short investment opportunities β this involves analyzing businesses and capital structures across Distressed, High Yield, and High Grade credit markets. You will develop thematic trade ideas across sectors and monitor existing positions, keeping abreast of news-flow and fundamental developments.
You will engage with sell-side research, syndicate, company management, and ratings agencies to develop informed views on issuers β your ability to push conviction or contrarian viewpoints will be key in this role. You will also be responsible for documenting your research and presenting your findings to the team, contributing to the overall investment strategy.
