Who you are
You hold a J.D. degree from an accredited law school and are a member of at least one state bar. With over 7 years of experience in executive compensation, particularly within the financial services industry, you have a strong understanding of the complexities involved in this area. You possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to translate complex legal issues into practical guidance for business leaders. Your superb attention to detail ensures that your work product is meticulous and thorough, and you have the capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You are capable of operating autonomously, seeing projects through to completion while escalating issues as necessary. Your relevant tax expertise complements your legal knowledge, enabling you to provide comprehensive advice on executive compensation frameworks. You thrive in environments that require a blend of legal acumen and business insight, making you a valuable asset to any team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will help design executive compensation frameworks that support Point72's ability to attract and retain top leadership talent. You will draft and advise on various executive compensation matters, including employment agreements and offer letters for investment professionals and senior management. Your expertise will also extend to long-term incentive compensation and deferred compensation structures. You will assist with the documentation of non-compete agreements and monitor evolving legal, tax, and regulatory developments affecting executive compensation.
Your role will involve translating complex legal issues into practical guidance for business leaders across Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure that the firm's compensation strategies align with legal requirements and best practices. Your insights will be crucial in navigating the dynamic landscape of executive compensation, ensuring that Point72 remains competitive in attracting top talent.
What we offer
Point72 offers a competitive annual base salary range of $250,000 to $300,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. You will be part of a dedicated legal team that values integrity and excellence in service delivery, contributing to the firm's overall performance and success.
