You are proficient in Python and SQL, and you understand general software engineering principles, including version control with GitHub and testing methodologies. Your familiarity with the data science stack allows you to effectively manipulate and analyze data, making you a valuable asset to the team. What you'll do

As an NLP Engineer at Point72, you will join a quant research team focused on leveraging modern NLP techniques to enhance investment strategies. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing NLP solutions that utilize LLMs and other advanced methodologies. You will explore and combine internal and external textual datasets to extract valuable insights and formulate research hypotheses that can lead to alpha generation.

You will be tasked with building Generative AI solutions, leveraging both internal models and external APIs to create innovative applications that support the firm's investment objectives. Your role will involve collaborating closely with other team members, including data scientists and quantitative researchers, to ensure that your NLP solutions align with the overall research goals.

You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP and data science, continuously seeking opportunities to improve existing methodologies and explore new techniques. Your contributions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Point72's investment strategies through the application of cutting-edge NLP technologies.
