Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in payroll processing, particularly with U.S. payroll systems, and are comfortable managing complex payroll activities with minimal supervision. Your expertise includes multi-state tax calculations, W-2 testing, and 401(k) processing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of payroll journal entries, including accruals and adjustments. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with HR, Finance, and Tax teams to resolve payroll issues and support audits. Your communication skills enable you to effectively handle payroll escalations and employee inquiries, making you a reliable point of contact for payroll-related matters.
What you'll do
In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end U.S. payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the payroll cycle. You will lead complex payroll activities, including salary variance analysis and retroactive adjustments, while serving as the subject matter expert on payroll-related inquiries. Your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and posting payroll journal entries, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to address payroll issues and support audits. You will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records and ensuring that all payroll outputs meet quality standards. Your role will be crucial in fostering a collaborative environment where team members can learn and grow.
