Who you are
You are an entry-level professional with a strong academic background in Finance or a STEM-related field, expected to graduate in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. You have internship or project experience in quantitative research or portfolio management, showcasing your ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Your intermediate or advanced proficiency in Python allows you to develop and contribute to shared code bases, enhancing the team's analytical capabilities. You possess a solid understanding of statistical models and essential methods of quantitative finance, which you apply to evaluate investment strategies effectively.
What you'll do
As a Quantitative Portfolio Analyst at Point72, you will be a vital member of the Portfolio Construction & Analytics Team, working closely with Portfolio Managers to analyze investment strategies and identify strengths and weaknesses. You will forecast the performance of these strategies to drive capital allocation decisions, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently across investment teams. Your role will involve inventing new analytics to quantify skill and developing frameworks that support trade-offs between different sources of skill and risk. You will quantify market drivers to support risk-taking and decision-making processes, communicating key findings to the team, Portfolio Managers, and Co-CIOs. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of research tools and reports that enhance the team's overall effectiveness.
