You have a strong background in quantitative disciplines, holding an undergraduate, Master's, or PhD degree in fields such as Computer Science or a related area. With 3+ years of professional experience, you have developed infrastructure to support investment teams, showcasing your ability to work in high-pressure environments.

Your programming skills in Python and SQL are exceptional, allowing you to architect and refine research infrastructures effectively. You possess a solid understanding of math, statistics, and finance, which complements your familiarity with quantitative research methodologies and machine learning algorithms.

You are a creative problem solver who thrives on collaboration, working closely with quant researchers to automate and present analytics, reports, and monitors. Your understanding of the data ingestion process is robust, enabling you to contribute significantly to the analytics and quantitative investment strategies.

Desirable

You are eager to learn and adapt, with a keen interest in the latest advancements in quantitative finance and technology. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly makes you a valuable team member, and you are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.

What you'll do

As a Quantitative Developer at Point72, you will play a vital role in the Portfolio Construction and Analysis team within the CIO office. Your primary responsibility will be to architect, build, refine, and increase the automation and robustness of the research infrastructure, which includes data access, risk modeling, and backtesting components.

You will collaborate with quant researchers to implement frameworks for automating and presenting analytics, reports, and monitors, ensuring that the team has the tools necessary to make informed investment decisions. Additionally, you will work alongside firm-wide technology teams to deliver analytics and tools to users across the organization, enhancing the overall efficiency of the investment process.

Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest trends in quantitative research and technology, allowing you to bring innovative solutions to the team. You will also be involved in mentoring junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative learning environment.
