Privy is hiring a Security Engineer to enhance security practices across the organization. You'll work with distributed systems and blockchain security, collaborating with engineering teams to secure products used by millions. This role requires experience in implementing security systems in production environments.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience implementing or maintaining security systems in production environments — you understand the intricacies of securing distributed systems and are comfortable making changes to production environments. Your knowledge of modern web security best practices and common vulnerabilities allows you to effectively communicate security needs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside experienced security leaders and exceptional engineering talent. Your creativity and empathy drive you to find secure paths forward for products and customers, ensuring they can ship confidently and safely. You are proactive in exploring and implementing innovative security options that set Privy apart from competitors.
What you'll do
As a Security Engineer at Privy, you will establish and improve baseline security practices across the organization as a member of the security team. You will triage and respond to security alerts from EDR, dependency scanners, and other tools, ensuring that security vulnerabilities are addressed promptly. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will enhance security in our development pipeline, including CI/CD processes and GitHub workflows.
You will provide security guidance to internal teams and customer developers, advising them on secure implementation patterns and helping to remediate security vulnerabilities. Developing a deep knowledge of our stack, including client, backend, infrastructure, TEEs, and security policies, will be essential for your success in this role. You will also respond to and remediate bug bounty reports, ensuring that our security posture remains robust and effective.
