What you'll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Q-CTRL, you will be responsible for designing and building high-performance backend systems that support our quantum controller infrastructure — your work will directly contribute to the development of our SDKs and cloud-based offerings. You will maintain and evolve the compiler stack that translates OpenQASM3 and OpenPulse programs, ensuring seamless execution on quantum processing units (QPUs).
You will collaborate with brilliant engineers and researchers to deliver cutting-edge solutions that accelerate the path to quantum advantage — your role will involve end-to-end delivery of software products that have significant applications across defense, research, and industry. You will also engage in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
