Who you are
You have a strong background in quantum sensing and are experienced in developing advanced technologies. Your expertise in theoretical and experimental atomic physics, as well as your knowledge of cold-atom interferometry, positions you well for this role. You are skilled in modern Bayesian estimation and signal processing techniques, which are crucial for the development of quantum magnetometers.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with a team of specialists. Your ability to translate complex research into practical applications is a key asset. You are committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in quantum sensing and ensuring that your research has a real-world impact.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop quantum magnetometers that are performant and autonomous, capable of operating reliably in harsh environments. You will collaborate with experts in quantum sensing to design, develop, test, and characterize new state-of-the-art magnetometers and auxiliary hardware. Your work will address pressing challenges in aeronautical positioning, navigation, geophysical surveying, and magnetic anomaly detection.
A significant focus of your role will be to devise mitigation strategies for adverse effects that hinder optimal sensor operation.
