Who you are
You are a recent graduate or student in computer science, mathematics, or a related field with a solid foundation in software development. Your coursework, research projects, or contributions to open source demonstrate your excellent software development knowledge. You have proficiency in C++ and a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles, which you apply in your coding practices. You are familiar with data structures and algorithms, enabling you to write efficient and effective code. Exposure to network programming, particularly TCP/IP, and concurrent programming with multi-threaded applications is part of your skill set. You have experience with Linux/Unix environments and possess brilliant problem-solving abilities, allowing you to tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with your team and advocating for your ideas.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing proprietary software that includes low-latency high-throughput exchange connectivity layers. You will work on distributed computation optimized backtesting and simulation systems capable of handling terabytes of data. Additionally, you will contribute to risk systems that involve real-time trade management and risk analysis. Your day-to-day tasks will include identifying complex problems, proposing innovative solutions, and collaborating with other software developers, quantitative traders, and researchers to deliver high-quality software. You will be part of a supportive team environment where everyone is approachable, and your contributions will be recognized and rewarded.
