Overview

Rackspace is hiring an A/R Specialist to manage customer billing and payment issues. You'll work closely with account teams to ensure efficient collections and minimize bad debt. This role is based in Mexico City with hybrid work options.

Job Description

Who you are

You are the primary point of contact for customer billing and payment issues on assigned accounts — you excel in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely collections to minimize the risk of bad debt. Your strong communication skills allow you to handle and document internal and external communications effectively, whether via phone, ticket, or email.

You have a keen eye for detail and utilize various research and reconciliation techniques to resolve problems efficiently. Your ability to work collaboratively with account teams ensures that the collections function operates smoothly, and you are proactive in controlling credit to customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will act as the main liaison for customer billing inquiries, addressing issues promptly and professionally. You will manage the collection of customer accounts, ensuring that all monies due are collected in a timely manner. Your responsibilities will include initiating problem resolution and documenting all communications as outlined in department processes.

You will work closely with account teams to streamline the collections process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and payment histories, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
